For model year 2021, John Deere improved the S240 Tractor and introduced the S220 Tractor to provide an additional option for customers looking to transition up into the 200 Series.
Features of the New S220 Lawn Tractor
The S220 is built on the same platform as the S240 model but is offering the Briggs & Stratton Cyclonic engine in lieu of the Kawasaki engine in its predecessor. In addition, this model is only available in the 42″ Deck variant and comes with a lighter duty TLT200 transmission found in the 100 series lawn tractors.
More powerful engine on the S240 Tractor
To increase mowing and snow-blowing performance, the model year 2021 S240 Tractors feature a 21.5-HP Kawasaki engine as opposed to the 18hp Kawasaki from last years model.
Additional new features on the 200 Series
An industry-exclusive at this price point, an easy to read fuel gauge is now available on the S240 dashboard.
To make the fuel level, engine hours, and battery voltage appear on the MowerPlus app, the optional MowerPlus deluxe smart connector can be connected to this fuel gauge.
The new body design incorporates the next generation tractor styling, including the active stance and John Deere yellow flag.
